Moroccan King Mohammed VI has expressed his support for Saudi Arabia following recent attacks by the Houthi group. In separate telegrams sent to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the king stated that any attack on Saudi Arabia is also an attack on Morocco.

The conflict in Yemen, which began in 2014 when the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces, has led to a Saudi-led coalition intervening in support of the internationally recognized government. The Houthi group's declaration of a maritime blockade in July has resulted in attacks targeting Saudi oil infrastructure.

The king expressed deep concern over the impact of these attacks on civilian and economic facilities, critical infrastructure, cities, and residential areas in Saudi Arabia. He also condemned attempts to target the holy city of Mecca.
