Iowa Speedway is gearing up for a busy Independence Day weekend in 2027, with NASCAR returning to the track on July 2-4. The Cup Series will be competing on a brand-new racing surface, which will be completed after a full repave of the facility following this year's Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol.

The new racing surface is expected to preserve Iowa Speedway's reputation for close-quarters competition and position the facility to host major motorsports events for decades to come. In addition to the repaved surface, NASCAR will also be making improvements to the fan concourse, suites, and Newton Club areas to continually refine the fan experience.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating that hosting one of NASCAR's marquee weekends on Independence Day reinforces Iowa's place on the national stage. The project represents NASCAR's continued investment in Iowa Speedway and its long-term commitment to the state of Iowa.
