Oil Prices Slip as US Inventory Build Meets Middle East Disruptions
Oil prices fell on Wednesday after an unexpectedly large build in US crude inventories, but disruptions in the Middle East limited the decline.
Brent crude futures dropped 73 cents, or 0.67%, to $108.02 a barrel at 07:50 a.m. Saudi time, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures were down $1.1, or 1.04%, at $104.73 a barrel.
The two-day rally that pushed prices above their highest levels since May 19 was stalled by the news of the inventory build and supply disruptions in the Middle East.
