Pakistan Ministers Unite Against Energy Sector Threats
A meeting between Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Energy and Power Nazir Ahmed Abbasi aimed to address strategic energy issues. The discussion centered on oil supply, security of exploration and production activities, and the challenges faced by the province in terms of energy.
Malik highlighted the pressure being faced by the domestic energy sector due to international market developments. He emphasized that a comprehensive plan was underway to ensure the security of E&P activities in K-P, with coordination between the federal government and security forces.
K-P Minister Abbasi acknowledged the need to address security issues for facilitating E&P operations. The two sides agreed on enhanced coordination among the federal government, security forces, and provincial authorities to create a secure environment for E&P activities.
