Pakistan is seeking to import an additional 185,000 metric tons of wheat amid global supply chain disruptions caused by fighting in the Black Sea region. The country's Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has issued a tender for the wheat, with several international traders submitting bids.

The lowest initial offer was submitted by Bunge at $339.36 per metric ton, including cost and freight, for approximately 60,000 tons. Other bidders include Olam, Ameropa, Agrocorp, and CHS, among others.

Trading Corporation of Pakistan has already purchased 365,000 tons of wheat earlier this month at $348.83 per ton in a previous tender that sought up to 750,000 tons. The current tender indicates continued demand for imported wheat as the country manages its supply needs in a volatile market.
