PTT Sets Sights on 15 Million Tonnes LNG by 2035 Amid Global Volatility
PTT Public Company Limited has reaffirmed its five-year investment plan of Bt1 trillion for 2026-2030, focusing on liquefied natural gas (LNG) expansion and sustainable growth. The company aims to increase its LNG portfolio from 3.7 million tonnes by the end of 2026 to 15 million tonnes by 2035.
PTT's CEO and President Kongkrapan Intarajang emphasized the importance of energy security, stating that natural gas will play a crucial role in stabilizing the energy system during the transition to cleaner energy. The company has diversified its crude oil sources and invested in refinery upgrades to enhance flexibility in processing crude from various sources.
PTT's resilience was tested by the Middle East crisis, but the company managed to deliver stronger-than-expected results in the first half of 2026, with net profit reaching Bt78.26 billion - an increase of over 74% compared to the same period last year.
