Silver Prices Plummet on Weak Trend and Sell-Off

Silver futures declined sharply on Wednesday, September 12, 2026, due to a sell-off by participants. This led to a drop of Rs 735 in silver prices, bringing them down to Rs 2,33,364 per kilogram in futures trade. The decrease was observed in the December delivery contracts, which fell by 0.31 percent in a business turnover of 13394 lots.

The analysts attributed the decline to the sell-off by participants, who reduced their bets on silver prices. Globally, the white metal was trading at $64.381 per ounce in New York, down 0.84 percent from its previous price.
