Silver Prices Steady in India Amid Global Market Caution
Silver prices have been under pressure on September 30, 2026, due to global market conditions turning cautious. In India, gold rates declined across various categories, while silver held steady at ₹2,40,000 per kg.
Despite this stability in the domestic market, silver prices have seen a significant increase over the past few years, rising from roughly ₹78,600 per kg in 2023-2024 to over ₹240,000 per kg in September 2026. This surge is attributed to strong demand and currency fluctuations.
The MCX Gold 5 October futures stood at ₹1,46,513 per 10 grams, while the MCX Silver 4 December contracts were at ₹2,27,390 per kg at around 9:00 am. Bullion was trading around $4,125 an ounce after tumbling 4% to a seven-week low.
