South Korea Commits $54 Billion to Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that South Korea has committed to investing $54 billion in an Alaska natural gas pipeline.
The project, which has been sought for decades, involves constructing an 800-mile liquefied natural gas line. According to Trump, the investment will be subsidized by his administration's trade agreement with South Korea.
Trump spoke about the deal during a press conference in the Oval Office of the White House, surrounded by Alaska leaders and members of his cabinet.
