Syrian gold prices climb amid global bullion surge to $4,160 an ounce
Gold prices in Syria climbed on Monday, reflecting a broader global rise in bullion values. The General Authority for Precious Metals Management reported that a gram of 21-karat gold increased by 100 Syrian pounds from the previous day, reaching a selling price of 16,250 Syrian pounds ($133.20) and a buying price of 15,950 pounds ($130.74).
Meanwhile, 18-karat gold was priced at 14,000 Syrian pounds ($112.30) for buying. The US dollar equivalents were calculated using the Central Bank of Syria’s official exchange rate of 122 Syrian pounds to $1, as stated in its Thursday bulletin.
Internationally, gold prices surged to $4,160 per ounce, underscoring the metal’s strong performance in global markets.
