Soybeans and corn prices have seen an increase ahead of the upcoming meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The meeting, scheduled for this week, has raised hopes of a potential trade deal between the two nations, which could boost agricultural exports from the US.

Soybean prices rose 1.6% to $9.37 per bushel, while corn prices increased by 2.3% to $4.12 per bushel, according to data from Fusion Media.
