Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Sector Surpasses Targets in First Nine Months
Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector has exceeded its targets in the first nine months of this year, according to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Agajanov.
The State Concern 'Türkmennebit' met its target for oil production at 109.1 per cent, while refining targets were met at 106.8 per cent.
Petrol production exceeded expectations by 119.3 per cent, with diesel fuel and liquefied gas meeting their targets at 114.7 per cent and 112 per cent respectively.
The sector's performance was discussed during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 2, where President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that efforts to improve the oil and gas sector should continue.
