Ukraine Government Adjusts Minimum Export Prices Amid Logistics Challenges

The Ukrainian government has adjusted its minimum export prices for agricultural products in response to high costs and congested logistics. In August, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a corrective coefficient (discount) of 0.714 to the calculated minimum allowable export prices for certain types of grains and oilseeds.

According to Taras Vysotskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the discount was intended to facilitate cheaper exports, but prices remained high in August and affected September levels.

Vysotskyi stated that revising the prices is difficult due to decisions being made once a month on the 10th. He recommended considering changes to the supply conditions basis.
