US Deploys Patriot Missiles to Saudi Arabia and Qatar Amid Iran Tensions
The US has deployed additional Patriot surface-to-air missile batteries to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, amid concerns over a potential resumption of large-scale military operations against Iran.
The deployment comes as President Donald Trump stated that he was considering resuming the bombing campaign in the coming weeks, saying 'Now I have to make a decision: either Iran signs a deal, or it will cease to exist.'
The US has sent two Patriot batteries, one to Saudi Arabia last month to protect a key oil facility and another to Qatar to defend a gas facility.
This move is seen as an attempt by the US to reassure both countries of its readiness to protect their critical energy infrastructure.
