US Grain Markets Swing Amid Tariff Uncertainty and Harvest Progress
US grain markets were mixed on September 29, with soybeans recovering from Monday's sharp decline tied to their exclusion from tariff cuts. November soybean futures gained 7 cents to $12.95 per bushel, while December corn futures rose 3 cents to $5.26.
The wheat market was less uniform, with December Chicago Board of Trade wheat increasing by 3 cents to $6.90 and Kansas City wheat falling 4 cents to $7.41.
Traders are now focused on whether Chinese buyers will return to the US market after Monday's sell-off, which could potentially be used as leverage in broader trade negotiations.
The upcoming Grain Stocks report is also expected to be a key catalyst for corn, soybean, and wheat prices as the US harvest advances.
