USDA Reports Wheat Price Increase Amid Grain Vessel Activity

The USDA Portland Grain Bids reported that on August 25, 2026, US #1 Hard Red Winter Wheat saw varied bids based on protein content. Ordinary protein averaged $7.5520, up 0.0175 from the prior day, with a year-ago average of $5.4775.

The 11.0% protein bid also averaged $7.8420, up 0.0175, compared to $5.7375 a year earlier. Bids for 11.5% protein remained unchanged at an average of $7.9608 for current delivery, with September and October deliveries averaging $8.0142 and $8.0125, respectively.

November delivery averaged $8.0205, up 0.0050, while December delivery was unchanged at $8.0320. Higher protein levels saw 12.0% at $8.0320 and 13.0% at $8.1720, both unchanged.
