Vance Warns of Skyrocketing Energy Prices with Democrat-Controlled Congress
Vice President JD Vance made a prediction about what could happen if Democrats retake Congress in November. According to him, 'Congressional investigations as far as the eye can see, not good policy-making for the American people' will be on the agenda.
Vance claimed that if Democrats win, energy prices will 'skyrocket' due to their alleged war against American coal, oil, and natural gas. However, critics pointed out that energy prices are already inflated, largely due to President Donald Trump's decision to launch a war against Iran alongside Israel.
The current price of Brent crude oil is just above $102 a barrel, up roughly 58% for the year, according to Trading Economics. The average price of regular gas in the US is $4.38 per gallon, while diesel fuel sits at an average of $6.35 per gallon.
