WTI Oil Prices Slide Below $91 as Middle East Flows Rise
WTI Oil prices dipped below $91.00 on Thursday as reports emerged of higher oil flows from Middle Eastern countries, despite ongoing tensions in the region. According to a report by JP Morgan, oil flows from these countries averaged 17.7 barrels per day in September, approximately 98% of pre-war levels, while fuel exports averaged 3 million barrels per day, or 58% of pre-war supply.
US President Donald Trump's call for France and Germany to release 'immediately' diesel stocks or face a ban on US exports also contributed to easing pressure on prices. However, the reversal in crude oil prices remains limited due to rising tensions between the US and Iran.
The Pentagon is sending a third aircraft carrier with approximately 10,000 troops to the region, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials. This move is seen as a clear signal that hostilities might resume soon.
