WTI Oil Prices Slip Amid Reports of Increased Exports
WTI Oil prices retreated on Friday as reports of increased exports from Gulf countries and diesel stock releases eased concerns about stalled US-Iran peace negotiations. The WTI barrel, a benchmark for US crude oil, dipped below $91.00, down from Thursday's high at $92.64.
A report by JP Morgan found that oil flows from Middle East countries averaged 17.7 barrels per day in September, around 98% of pre-war levels. Fuel exports also rose to 3 million barrels per day, or 58% of pre-war supply.
US President Donald Trump's call for France and Germany to release diesel stocks immediately has contributed to the decline in prices. However, tensions between the US and Iran remain high, with the Pentagon sending a third aircraft carrier to the region.
