Airtel Launches Unified Communication Platform for Enterprises
Airtel Business has introduced Airtel IQ Gateway, a network intelligence platform designed to consolidate multiple enterprise communication channels into a single secure system. The company claims it is India’s first platform of its kind, combining network intelligence with enterprise messaging and fraud protection.
The platform unifies SMS, WhatsApp, Rich Communication Services (RCS), business voice, and number verification under one control center. It also complies with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework. This addresses the challenges businesses face when using multiple communication providers, which often results in fragmented systems, delivery failures, and higher costs.
Airtel IQ Gateway offers real-time analytics and delivery reporting, integrating seamlessly with existing communication workflows and vendor ecosystems. A key feature is its network-level fraud prevention, which includes Airtel IQ Verify. This tool uses network, device, and usage signals to detect suspicious activities like account takeovers and unusual traffic patterns.
The platform also tackles SMS pumping, where automated systems generate excessive OTP requests, leading to inflated messaging bills. Additionally, it features Silent Authentication, which verifies if a mobile number matches the active SIM in a device. The platform also supports native DLT integration, automated vendor failover, and intelligent routing across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, and voice.
