Binance Pay Expands in Bhutan with Over 3,700 Merchants Now Accepting Cryptocurrencies
Binance Pay has expanded its reach in Bhutan by integrating with the country's DK Bank Domestic QR payment network. This integration enables users to pay with cryptocurrencies at over 3,700 merchants across Bhutan using their Binance app and scanning a merchant's existing DK Bank QR code.
This move builds on a landmark collaboration between Binance Pay, Bhutan's Department of Tourism, and DK Bank launched in May 2025 to support crypto payments for tourism in Bhutan. The integration allows merchants to continue using their existing payment setup while enabling Binance Pay as an additional payment option.
According to SB Seker, Head of APAC at Binance, 'Integrating Binance Pay with Bhutan's domestic QR network shows what real-world crypto adoption looks like when it's built on infrastructure people already trust.' The partnership aims to provide a seamless and secure experience for both merchants and users.
The integration also expands the acceptance of crypto payments nationwide in Bhutan, making it more accessible and practical for local and international travelers. As part of this initiative, customers can enjoy zero extra fees with a competitive exchange rate until December 31, 2026.
