Binance Sees Largest Bitcoin Outflows in Years Amid Whale Activity
Bitcoin (BTC) outflows from Binance hit their highest level in over three years during the final week of September. According to CryptoQuant, the exchange saw net outflows of 23,137 BTC in the seven days through September 27, the largest weekly outflow since June 2023.
Analysts suggest this movement could signal stronger accumulation patterns, potentially pushing BTC/USD out of its current trading range. In June 2023, a similar outflow preceded a significant price rally, with BTC rising from $26,300 to $30,500 in a single week. Binance’s Bitcoin reserves have dropped by nearly 40,000 BTC since September 20.
Separately, whale entities have increased their stablecoin inflows to Binance by 40% since mid-August, reaching $30.5 billion. This uptick in stablecoin deposits suggests growing interest in increasing capital exposure to crypto assets.
Currently, BTC/USD has been trading within a tight range of $82,500 to $87,400 since September 21, with liquidity on exchanges influencing short-term price movements. The 2026 yearly open at $87,570 remains a key resistance level.
