Bitcoin Approaches 42% Gain as Institutional Demand Grows
Bitcoin is trading near $83,000 as it approaches the end of Q3, on pace to record a 42% gain. The price has taken a dip from its earlier high but remains up strongly for the quarter.
The recent corporate Bitcoin purchases are a sign of growing institutional demand in the market. Strategy, a company that filed a report on September 28, purchased 1,665 coins at an average cost of $85,681 each. This purchase reflects a total investment of $142.7 million and brings their total holdings to 847,666 coins.
However, it's essential to note that a quarterly percentage gain does not necessarily mean all investors have made the same gains or that the investment has fully recovered previous losses. The timing of purchases is crucial, as buying after much of the increase would result in lower gains.
