Bitcoin ETFs Draw $6.3B in Q3 as Bitcoin Price Jumps 43%
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw their strongest quarter in 2026, attracting $6.34 billion in net inflows as the price of Bitcoin rose nearly 43% in the third quarter.
The funds closed September with $2.65 billion in net inflows, down 25% from $3.52 billion in August, according to SoSoValue data. This quarterly inflow reversed the $5 billion in net outflows recorded in the second quarter.
Bitcoin's quarterly gain of 42.71% was its strongest since Q4 2024 and its best third-quarter performance since 2017, according to CoinGlass. The price surge also benefited Ether, which gained about 71% during the quarter and attracted $3.05 billion in net inflows for US spot Ether ETFs.
Other altcoin funds, such as XRP, Solana, and Zcash, also saw net inflows in September, with $308 million, $272 million, and $246 million, respectively.
