Bitcoin Holds Near $83,000 as Institutional Demand Remains Strong Amid Market Volatility
Bitcoin has been holding its ground near $83,000 as it navigates through market fluctuations. Despite pulling back from last week's high of $87,000, BTC has maintained support at this level.
The token slipped just under 1% on Tuesday, settling near $83,100 during Asian trading hours. This retreat has rippled through the digital asset market, with nearly every corner experiencing some impact.
Mid-cap altcoins have been affected, with Zcash taking the biggest hit, dropping 12% to around $1,380. Solana and HYPE also lost between 3% and 4%, while Dogecoin fell 3% and Binance Coin dropped 2%. Ripple's XRP slid nearly 2% as well.
Institutional investors remain resilient, with spot Bitcoin ETFs pulling in $2.39 billion in net inflows last week, the strongest since October 2025. BlackRock's IBIT fund alone captured about $1.2 billion of that total.
