Bitcoin Price Could Reach $400,000 by 2030, Says Coinbase CEO
Bitcoin's price has been on the rise over the past two months, leading to renewed hopes of a bull market run. According to Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Bitcoin could soar to $400,000 by the end of 2030, making a $500 investment today worth nearly $2,500.
The primary catalyst for Bitcoin's growth is institutional adoption, with banks and Wall Street financial institutions increasingly embracing the cryptocurrency. Coinbase recently introduced a new Bitcoin-backed lending product, and the company's customers have seen a surge in Bitcoin ETF inflows.
To reach $400,000, Bitcoin would need to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 47%, significantly higher than its 34% growth rate over the past decade. However, if institutional adoption continues to pick up pace, it's possible that Bitcoin could meet this target.
It's worth noting that the passage of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act has faded away, leaving the SEC and CFTC to fill the regulatory void with new crypto rule-making that will make Bitcoin more attractive to Wall Street banks and institutional investors.
