Bitcoin Pulls Back After Recent Surge
Bitcoin's recent surge has come to an end, with prices pulling back slightly after reaching $87,000 in January.
According to data from LSEG, Bitcoin is currently trading at $85,506, down 0.8% from its previous high.
Naeem Aslam of Zaye Capital Markets believes that this dip is a positive sign for demand, which he attributes largely to institutional investors buying into the crypto market.
Aslam notes that Bitcoin's ability to hold its value despite a recent interest rate hike and stalled crypto legislation shows that institutional demand is strong enough to offset macro and regulatory headwinds.
