Bitcoin Stuck Between Institutional Demand and High Bond Yields
Bitcoin has maintained its value above $83,000 as October begins, with ongoing institutional buying providing support despite elevated US bond yields limiting its ability to break higher.
The world's largest digital asset was trading around $83,400 after moving between roughly $82,950 and $85,500 over the latest session.
Bitcoin briefly pushed above $85,000 following softer-than-expected US inflation data but was unable to sustain the advance, leaving it below the $87,000-plus level reached during September.
The cryptocurrency finished the September quarter with a gain of around 45%, marking its strongest quarterly performance since 2024.
