Bitcoin Whales Flood Binance with $30.5 Billion in Stablecoin Inflows
Bitcoin whales have sent a massive $30.5 billion to Binance in just over a month, representing a 40% increase in stablecoin inflows. According to CryptoQuant contributor Darkfost, this surge in deposits is due to large investors making more capital available for market exposure, allowing them to quickly convert stablecoins into Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies without traditional banking rails.
Darkfost notes that the current level of stablecoin inflows remains relatively restrained compared to an earlier peak of $61 billion in October 2025. He attributes the recent increase to whales deploying liquidity more carefully as Bitcoin navigates changing market conditions, including seasonal expectations for October, inflation, conflict, and rising bond yields.
The stablecoin inflows do not confirm Bitcoin buying, as funds entering Binance can be used for various purposes, including spot purchases, derivatives collateral, arbitrage, market making, or trades in other cryptocurrencies. Darkfost's metric only tracks stablecoin deposits worth over $1 million entering Binance, and the data does not show how much has already been deployed or which assets received the capital.
Meanwhile, Binance has seen a net outflow of over 13,800 $BTC on September 25, its largest daily net withdrawal since 2023. Darkfost interpreted this as accumulation at the time, but the withdrawals do not establish that holders intend to keep the coins long term.
The altcoin market has gained over $371 billion since June, with many altcoins trading above their 200-day moving averages. This increase in altcoin deposits to Binance does not establish that owners sold them, and Darkfost notes that selling activity has not reached unusually high levels.
