BNY Mellon in Talks with Kraken Parent for Digital-Asset Infrastructure Partnership

Share

Global custody bank BNY Mellon is in talks with Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, to form a broad digital-asset infrastructure partnership.

The partnership would cover digital-asset products, custody, asset management, trading, payments, and financial market infrastructure, according to reports.

The companies are expected to use Payward's B2B platform, Payward Services, which is similar to the infrastructure agreement Payward recently signed with Nasdaq.

The talks between BNY and Payward are ongoing, but it remains unclear whether the companies will reach a final agreement.
