Cardano is set to launch its first stablecoin, Djed, which will help reduce transaction costs and make them more predictable on the network.

The algorithmic stablecoin uses smart contracts to eliminate price fluctuations, making it a 'formally verified' protocol.

Djed's primary use case will be for settling transaction fees, eliminating the risk of 'volatile and exorbitant gas fees.'

Charles Hoskinson, Cardano's founder, believes Djed could be a game-changer in the crypto space and appeal to an entirely new audience.
