The Circle Foundation has partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Food Programme (WFP) to explore digital payments and stablecoin infrastructure for humanitarian operations.

The two initiatives aim to improve the speed, cost, and transparency of aid payments while expanding access to digital financial services.

The UNDP will establish a Digital Asset Innovation Pool using a Circle Foundation grant. The pool will provide a structured framework for using regulated payment stablecoins in development programs, complementing existing banking channels.

The World Food Program USA will also receive a grant from the Circle Foundation to support its work on stablecoin-enabled payment infrastructure.
