Citigroup Raises Crypto Forecasts Amid Renewed ETF Demand
Citigroup has raised its 12-month forecasts for Bitcoin and Ether, citing renewed ETF demand and improved macro conditions. The bank now expects Bitcoin to reach $113,000 by next year, a 35% increase from current market levels.
The previous target was set at $82,000, but Citigroup's upgraded forecast takes into account the recent recovery of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which recorded their best weekly inflow of 2026 in late September. The bank expects advisers and brokerages to gradually increase bitcoin exposure over time, leading to about $5 billion in inflows over the next 12 months.
Citigroup also raised its Ether forecast from $2,240 to $3,028, up 12% from current market levels. The bank cited U.S. Treasury bond buybacks as a factor supporting risk assets and contributing to renewed demand for both Bitcoin and Ether.
