Citi's $113,000 Bitcoin Target at Risk as AI Models Disagree on Inflows
Citi recently raised its one-year price target for Bitcoin (BTC) to $113,000, a significant jump from the $82,000 estimate made in July.
The target is about 34% higher than Bitcoin's current price of $84,621.
To gauge the likelihood of Bitcoin hitting this target by October 2027, 24/7 Wall St. consulted three AI models: ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok.
The models' responses were varied, with ChatGPT estimating a 68% chance that Bitcoin will reach Citi's target, while Claude placed it at 46%, and Grok at 38%.
All three AI models agreed that Citi's $5 billion inflow forecast falls short, estimating that somewhere between $10 billion and $15 billion is actually needed to push Bitcoin to $113,000.
The restrictive Federal Reserve is the unanimous top threat, with downside scenarios placing Bitcoin between $67,500 and $78,000 if rate hikes continue.
