CME Group's BCH and UNI Futures Listing Sparks 63% Rally
CME Group's decision to list Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures has sent shockwaves through the cryptocurrency market, with both assets surging by over 63% in a matter of days.
The derivatives marketplace announced plans to launch regulated futures contracts for BCH and UNI on October 19, pending regulatory review. This move is seen as a response to strong client demand for institutional-grade risk management tools across high-liquidity altcoin markets.
Market participants will be able to trade both larger- and micro-sized contracts of BCH futures (250 BCH) and Micro BCH futures (25 BCH); UNI futures (10,000 UNI) and Micro UNI futures (1,000 UNI).
BCH started rising from a low of $213 on September 16 to rise above the daily MA 50 at $241. A brief pause created a bullish pennant which later resolved into a breakout above the daily MA 200 at $316 following Tuesday's surge.
