Coinbase has made significant strides in expanding its derivatives business by launching regulated crypto perpetuals and futures contracts for eligible Canadian investors.

The exchange, through its subsidiary Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), now offers 23 perpetual and dated futures to Canadian traders, covering a range of digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and 20 others.

The introduction of these contracts, which allow for up to 10x leverage, is part of the exchange's broader 'everything exchange' strategy aimed at combining traditional financial products with cryptocurrencies.
