Cryptos Surge as Regulators Move Forward Despite Clarity Act Setback
Cryptocurrency markets have staged a broad rally following the failure of the Clarity Act to advance in the U.S. Senate.
The legislative setback was largely looked through by regulators, who moved forward with industry rules under their existing authority.
As a result, several major tokens and crypto-linked stocks posted double-digit gains.
XRP and Solana led the pack, surging 22.4% and 22.3%, respectively.
The largest cryptocurrencies also participated in the rally, with Ethereum climbing 14.8% and Bitcoin gaining 14% over the period.
Ryan Rasmussen from Bitwise highlighted the resilience of the market, pointing out that regulators' moves had a more significant impact than the Clarity Act's failure.
