DC Circ. Upholds Conviction of Bitcoin Fog Operator

The D.C. Circuit has upheld the conviction of Roman Sterlingov, operator of the cryptocurrency mixing service Bitcoin Fog.

The court found that the government provided sufficient evidence to link Sterlingov's conduct to the District of Columbia venue and introduced reliable forensic evidence to tie him to the Bitcoin Fog operation.

The decision was made in a Friday opinion and provides clarity for those involved in similar cases.
