Dogecoin Price Faces Supply Test Amid Record ETF Inflows
Despite reaching nearly $0.0988, Dogecoin's price dropped by about 5.5% to $0.0926 on a day when U.S. Dogecoin ETFs saw their strongest week since launch.
The ETFs attracted approximately $2.89 million in net inflows during the week ending September 25, surpassing the previous record of around $2.59 million.
However, this demand growth is facing a significant challenge: Dogecoin's protocol continuously generates new supply, with about 14.4 million new DOGE created every day or roughly 100.8 million per week.
This weekly issuance is worth approximately $9.3 million at the current price, which is more than three times last week's record ETF inflows.
