A dormant Bitcoin wallet containing 600 BTC has come back to life after 14.2 years of inactivity. The wallet was activated as Bitcoin surged toward $87,000, with the 600 BTC valued at $51.15 million at the time of the transaction.

The wallet's activation comes as Bitcoin posted a strong recovery, with the cryptocurrency rising to as high as $87,341 late Monday. However, it's unclear what the holder's intentions are, as the coins could have been moved to another wallet controlled by the same holder.

Movements involving wallets that have remained inactive for over a decade often attract attention due to the coins' potential value. The 600 BTC was acquired during Bitcoin's early years, when the asset traded at a fraction of its current value.

Meanwhile, another long-dormant Bitcoin wallet was activated just days ago, with a wallet that had remained untouched since November 2011 moving 100 BTC worth around $8.09 million.
