Dunamu's GIWA Chain Impersonated in $2.1 Million Phishing Scam

A phishing scam targeting Dunamu's in-development blockchain 'GIWA Chain' has drained approximately ₩2.8 billion ($2.1 million) worth of Ethereum from users.

The fake network, which had a similar chain ID to the legitimate GIWA Chain, was registered on overseas decentralized exchange DYORSWAP as the official GIWA Chain.

As a result, 1,335 user wallet addresses transferred a total of 767.65 ETH to the fake network, with approximately 766.25 ETH drained externally.

DYORSWAP corrected the chain registration within four minutes, but the scam operators had already siphoned off the funds.
