EMCD Launches $30M Miner Support Program Amid Industry Profitability Squeeze

EMCD, a global crypto-fintech platform and one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pools, has launched its Miner Support Program to help miners weather the industry's steepest profitability squeeze. The program offers up to $30 million in financing, fee relief, and partner benefits to eligible miners.

The current hashprice for Bitcoin has dropped 50% from its October 2025 peak to approximately $28/PH/day, according to CoinShares Q1 2026 data. This has led to an estimated 252 EH/s of mining capacity being taken offline as operators with older hardware found their margins no longer viable.

EMCD's Founder and CEO, Michael Jerlis, stated that the company sees this period as both a stress test and an opportunity for operators who remain active. 'We've been through every cycle in this industry since 2017, the rallies, the winters, the halvings. What we've learned is that the operators who survive aren't the ones who wait out the downturns. They're the ones who use them.'
