Ethereum Evolves Into Broader Cryptographic Network
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has outlined the network's evolution into a more complex cryptographic system, expanding beyond its initial role as a standalone blockchain.
In a recent speech at the 12th Global Blockchain Summit in Shanghai, Buterin highlighted significant advancements in privacy, scalability, and security technology within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The shift towards a broader cryptographic network is driven by the integration of multiple layers, including Layer-1 and Layer-2 networks, mempools, off-chain computation, and collaborative block production by multiple participants.
Buterin emphasized that every hard fork in the next year will incorporate 'very advanced' cryptographic features, such as quantum-safe signature algorithms, to address emerging threats from quantum computing and AI-driven attacks.
