Ethereum Price Halt: Will It Break Through to $3,000?
Ethereum's price surge has halted at $2,500 after a strong rally, but could it be ready for another push towards $3,000? The cryptocurrency's price has increased by nearly 60% since July, from $1,600 to $2,500 in around 70 days.
The Ethereum price has exceeded key moving averages on a daily timeframe amid this bull run, and trading volume and Open Interest have also seen significant changes. According to the data, if Ethereum's price triggers a breakout from the major resistance at $2,500 and closes above this level on a daily timeframe, it could attract buyers and potentially lead to a move towards $3,000.
However, if the price fails to break through the $2,500 barrier, sellers may dominate, and the price could drop below $2,400. A breakdown below the 200-day EMA could open the door to a retest of the $1,860 support level.
