Ethereum Quietly Builds Momentum Towards $3,000
Ethereum's price has been steadily increasing since August, and it's now closing in on $3,000. The cryptocurrency spent most of this year looking like a lost cause, but one single candle in August changed everything.
The chart is doing exactly what it needs to do to reach the $3,000 level, which is roughly 19% away. Ethereum has been locked between $2,400 and $2,600 for a month now, with neither side breaking through. This structure is textbook, indicating that sellers have been getting filled, but price hasn't cracked yet.
The measured move math is clean, showing that Ethereum can reach $3,000 if it breaks above the current range. The 200 EMA has flattened and hooked upward for the first time this year, which is a bullish sign. The RSI reading is also sitting just above its signal line, indicating that there's still room for growth.
The ETF inflows are also a significant catalyst, with US spot Ethereum ETFs pulling in $1.75 billion to $1.85 billion in August, their best month since August 2025. The chart is not moving in a vacuum, and institutional flow has flipped hard in Ethereum's favor.
