Ethereum Surpasses Bitcoin in Fund Balance Recovery
Ethereum's fund balances have been on the rise since July, outpacing Bitcoin's recovery by a significant margin. According to CryptoQuant, the amount of ETH held in funds has increased by approximately 24%, nearing its previous peak from October 2025. In contrast, Bitcoin's fund balance rose only 6-7% over the same period.
The numbers are clear: Ethereum's fund balances have grown from around 5.45 million to 6.70-6.77 million ETH, adding a substantial 1.25-1.32 million ETH to its totals. Bitcoin, on the other hand, saw an increase of only 75,000-85,000 BTC in its total balance, rising from approximately 1.235 million BTC.
This growth in fund balances is seen as a sign of increased demand for crypto investment through funds, both from institutions and individual investors. However, analysts are cautious about the sustainability of this trend, warning that renewed outflows from funds could weaken support for the market.
