Evernorth's Nasdaq Debut Sets Stage for $2 XRP Target

Evernorth, a company holding 473 million XRP, will begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN on Thursday, October 8, 2026. This listing is significant because it's the largest publicly traded company to hold XRP, and its intention to put its coins to work is the core of the argument for XRP hitting $2. Evernorth plans to use its XRP in DeFi protocols and arbitrage trades on the XRP Ledger, and it will work directly with Ripple and the Ledger's tooling.

The company's treasury is built to be active, which is different from most crypto treasury firms that simply buy tokens and leave them alone. By putting its coins to work, Evernorth aims to steadily raise the amount of net XRP backing each XRPN share. This strategy could give shareholders more XRP exposure over time without having to buy more stock.

The financial backing for this venture is substantial, with shareholders approving a merger with SPAC Armada II that attracted more than $1 billion in combined investments. Ripple, SBI Group, Pantera Capital, and the Kraken exchange are among the anchor investors.

The $2 target for XRP rests on the idea that when a public company moves large amounts of a token into its treasury, that supply leaves the spot market, leading to a supply crunch. However, this scenario only becomes the main fundamental driver toward $2 'if current demand holds.'

The listing arrives as the charts look tense, with XRP consolidating near $1.50 and its moving averages clustering into a dense support zone between $1.26 and $1.45. The daily chart is even tighter, with price pushing against the upper Bollinger Band around $1.63.

Historically, the fourth quarter has been XRP's best period, with average historical returns of +80.2% in November and +63.1% in December. However, past seasonality is not a forecast, and averages are inflated by a handful of explosive years.

Evernorth's listing offers U.S. funds a regulated route to XRP exposure, removing the legal risk of holding the token directly. This could speed up the market's repricing of XRP, but the condition on demand is the key to the supply squeeze scenario.
