Share

A French cryptocurrency worker, his wife, and their two children were restrained inside their home in Vendin-le-Vieil, France. Four suspects fled after forcing the father to hand over access codes for roughly €40,000 in cryptocurrency.

The victims were held captive for more than three hours before the father managed to contact emergency services at around 8 a.m. Sunday. The intruders then left in a vehicle and remain actively sought by investigators.

Violence was involved during the attack, with the father being assaulted and his daughter struck in the face with car keys, according to a source close to the investigation.
