Glamsterdam Upgrade Set to Boost Ethereum's Scalability and Security

Ethereum's highly anticipated Glamsterdam network upgrade is set to arrive in October. This update will significantly improve Ethereum's scalability and security, making it a more attractive option for developers.

The Glamsterdam upgrade combines two previous updates: Amsterdam and Gloas. Amsterdam adds parallel processing to execute multiple transactions simultaneously, while Gloas allows validators to assemble blocks directly within the core protocol, reducing their dependence on external software.

This rewrite of Ethereum's foundational architecture will increase its gas limit, reducing gas fees for each transaction. As more decentralized apps use Ether to fund their transactions, the token's value should increase. The upgrade is expected to make Ether more valuable and widen its moat against newer blockchains like Solana.
