Grayscale Adds Anchorage Digital as Secondary Custodian for Chainlink Trust
Grayscale's Chainlink Trust has expanded its custody arrangements by adding Anchorage Digital Bank as a secondary custodian. This move comes under an amended master custody agreement dated September 29, 2026. Anchorage Digital will now safeguard a portion of the trust's LINK holdings, with Coinbase Custody remaining the primary custodian.
The exact amount of LINK to be transferred between custodians has not been specified, leaving the allocation to the sponsor's discretion. Anchorage Digital will store the private keys in U.S.-based hardware security modules and has the authority to suspend service during a fork.
The agreement includes stringent insurance requirements, mandating coverage with commercial crime or fidelity bond limits of at least $100 million, subject to certain limitations.
